Sunday's picture

Hi everybody! I'm going to Toto's concert in Hohentwiel Festival, Singen. I would like to record the concert with my video camera (a full home video, of course) but I don't know if I can enter with it. In Spain, where I live, security people often say no. Does anybody know how is that issue there? I have understood that the concert is on a hill, and it can be annoying if I climb (I don't know if that's the right verb haha) the hill, I wait for the queue and I have to return to the car for keep the camera...

Thank you very much, see you around! =)

Thank you so much for your answers, I've decided I'll enter my photo camera and try to record some short videos... Better without risks!

Filoman, we finally bought tickets for Singen, altought we'll go to visit Munich on Saturday. If we are really impressed by the concert in Singen (easy thing), maybe we buy tickets for Benediktbeuern too haha We'll meet if we go! =)

use a camera like

this one:
http://geizhals.at/a501318.html

it records stereo and 1280 x720, doesn't distort at high soundpressure and does not look like a videocam :). securitities usually let you in with small digicams but not with real camcorders.....

Good advice, Arni! The TZ-10

Good advice, Arni!
The TZ-10 from Panasonic has another major advantage for filming beneath the HD-Ready-Resolution:
It allows to use the zoom during recording.
What I didn´t like too much was the sound quality... Ok for personal use, but nothing special. (The lower frequencies are too weak, the mids and highs are acceptable.
If you want to take some Photos, make sure that you switch the flash TZ-10 manual OFF. Otherwise your pictures get overexposed. My hint: Try it before the concert :-)
I used to have the TZ-10.

I look forward to the Singen-Concert -
I will be there around 5PM...

For those who want a little "meeting" - plz feel free to send me a message :-)

the TZ7 (zs3) ...

can zoom aswell during videorecording ;).
The Panasonics seem to be the only digicams which don't dirstort at high sound pressure levels. Make sure to have WINDCUT set to OFF, otherwise low frequencies sound weak as you described ;).

I made pics with it

yesterday, no videos. In Heerhugowaard was it easy to bring in a camera. Don´t know if the other venues are that easy, too.
You´ll have to try.

I don't know, I was wondering that myself too. BTW, are you guys still planning on going to the concert in Benediktbeuern? Se acuerdan de mi? Espero que nos conozcamos. Saludos!

Funny, do you remember the days when you would go to a gig just to watch and listen? hahahaha

The Copenhagen gig is going to be pro filmed and brought out on dvd, can't you just enjoy the gig you attend until that comes out?
