Dear Friends, I had the great honor of being invited onstage to play for the last song "LadyLoveMe"( which I co-wrote with my great friend and film-composer James-Newton-Howard), At the Geroge Benson concert at the Hollywood Bowl Aug. 26. What a treat at the SOLD OUT BOWL. The last time I had been there was with Joseph Williams to watch his father John conducting the StarWars show. What made the evening better was the song before my song was "Turn Your Love Around' written by non-other than Steve Lukather. (I think his song won on the applause meter!). The opening act was Stanley Clarke, Victor Wooden, and Marcus Miller.(Marcus will be playing on my up and coming world music project out sometime next year). That's all for now, folks!...David Paich

Those were great to watch. It's been ages since I've seen George Benson. I hope he comes back down this way again.

"Lady Love Me" & "Turn...."

I think "Lady Love Me" is one of Stan's faves for Jeff's groove on that tune---.
"Turn Your Love Around" is a CLASSIC. I love Champlin's re-write of tha tone.
DP, it sounds as if you had a blast.
Keep rockin'!

PS: John Williams tunes are ROUGH to play....but oh MAN, is that a blast!! "Star Wars"??? That's killer, but I still love ET!!
