Last night I was invited to a private screening of "Up In Smoke", the 30 year old movie that still holds it's humor as if it were a new movie. Tommy Chong and Cheech Marin were both there in the audience, and it was a packed house. Near the end of the movie, everyone was standing and applauding the monumental efforts of these incredibly innovative comics who started out as musicians in Canada. Tommy invited me to the show, and he and Cheech did a Q & A session after the movie. I found out a lot about the genesis of Cheech and Chong during that session. Everyone had a lot of fun at the screening, and it was so great to watch and enjoy the movie "with" the original actors/writers of "Up In Smoke". They were laughing as hard as everyone else there. Tommy is a friend of mine, and I had the pleasure of meeting Cheech at the theater last night. During the Q & A, the question came up about whether they had any plans to do a road show again as a team. The answer was a resounding "positive", and the crowd went crazy with that response. I can't wait to see what they do next, as they were my favorite comedy team from their era 30 years ago (about the same time Toto was coming into sight). Here are a couple of shots from last night..................Bobby

Black dildo
I'll never forget there comment about some journalist ctritisising them.
Cheech said something like: "were just like a big black dildo, some people like it and some run away".
That was the greatest answer I've ever heard in my life!
Great to see the guys are still going strong!
GREAT NIGHT !!!
HOPE YOU HADE A GREAT NIGHT !!!!
HOW COOL BOBBY!
Cheech is a real cool cat....I met him at an art exhibit of Latino Art...He's the most genuine. Did you know that his art collection is one of the most prestigious in the country? He's definitely an aficionado.
Now for my impression of Tommy Chong: "wussapennin, maaaaaan....riiiiiight on, maaaaaaan".
Now for my impression of Cheech: "aaaaaaaaaay doooot.....where's da mota, (Spanish slang for _ _ _ ) doooot?"
Thank you.

What a night.........
I think they'll be doing some things together very soon. I can't wait to check out their new material. When it's a "one-of-a-kind-act" (and they are), the level of humor they come up with just can't be beat.
Nice Fotos
