Hi everybody, I work as a Hifi, Audio and Surround-Salesman in Germany and had a little discussion with a customer minutes ago. We are wondering why there are only a few well-produced HiDef-Concert-Videos available. The Live in Amsterdam-BluRay is still one of my favourite Demo-BD´s, but, as time goes by, there is a need for new stuff :-) So the question is: Are more people out there using BluRay/HiDef Equipment? Are there any plans to release the FiB 2008 on BluRay, and if so, is there any releasedate yet? I look forward to your replies!
I really cant find this one other then in Germany, France and Italy, but Ive also only found web-shops in German and so on... [my german is really bad so to the point I cant even order it - *doh*]. Ive "heard it" [hrm], and it sounds sweet as ever. It got a smooth "jam feeling", I like its extreme "live feel". But I would really like to BUY a original DVD to my collection... There should be a Toto-shop with all official releases :)
We're in France and the Metz concert is tonight. It's our warm-up for the DVD in Paris. So many things to get together, but our techno-wizard, Simon, is on the case. I have an interview with him at 3:30 PM today for the extra footage. You're going to love the extra footage this time. Astro has been chewing up the digital memory for extras on the DVD.
Hi gang. We're going in for rehearsal #2 today. Things were a little bogged down with some equipment problems yesterday, but that will be vanquished today. The new material sounds great, and the set is totally rockin'. I know this DVD will grab the interest of the band, and fans as well. Mostly, we're having a lot of fun putting it together. Loads of work to do, but somehow it doesn't feel like a job. Happy Tuesday to you all.
My bands drummer got a DVD from eBay that he gave me as a present. On the Cover it says »Steve Lukather Master Session«, but when I played it, there was this (absolutely 80s-style) »Starlicks«-Logo. My girlfriend couldn't figure out who this person in the video is until she heard him playing. I still think »Starlicks« could easily have been a title for some porn movie, but there is a lot more to learn from Mr. Lukather than from a porn movie (OK, I admit, it's guitar porn: Mesa/Boogie-Amps, the Bradshaw-System, the Valley Arts guitar - at least I think it is Valley Arts- etc. pp). :-)
