Many months ago i took some screen captures of the photo album that is included in the new DVD-Audio version of Jackson Browne's "Running On Empty". Lee said, "go ahead and post them, and show us what you got", or something of the like, but since the photographer didn't grant me a permission i din't. Well, now, I figured, what the hell, so here is one.. Lee hope you like it.

Here is another clip from the Koln concert of May 24, 2008. First song is the classic Beatles hit and the second one is called "Rock'n'Roll Hoochie Coo". I googled it and found out it's a Rick Derringer song which has been covered by Suzi Quatro. I apologize for the terrible sound quality but i still have to learn how to use this phone... Cheers, leo.

Here is the back cover of Alan O' Day's 1977 album "Appetizers". Lee Sklar and Scott Edwards on bass and Jeff Porcaro on drums on all the numbers. Please give it time to load as it's a big file. If you cannot watch it whole after clicking on 'original', you can save it to a target of your choice by right-clicking over the image and select 'save image as'. Cheers!

Just found this on YouTube, beautiful Boz Scaggs ballad from "Silk Degrees" performed by gorgeous Rita Coolidge, from her album "Anytime... Anywhere". Leland is on bass on this one. Dedicated to all those people who are looking out their window and still wait for springtime to come. Light a fire, relax, and pretend it's warmer than it is..

Here is the only pic I got from the nite...but Lee was a complete gentleman and gave everyone his time by being patient as we all swarmed around for our 5 secs of fame with this wonderful guy! I didn't want to let him go and his beard is so cuddly! This was a wonderful memory for me!! Thanks Lee you were just as I expected you to be, a consumate musician, gentle, kind, and as always gracious!

I finallly made the giant leap and got myself a new turntable, and (thanks to Tanya) one of those I can hook up to the computer and make wav/mp3 files from records with. One of the first albums I got back is Don Henley's "I Can't Stand Still". I know it by heart, almost, but listening to it once again after a lot of time is making a huge impression and bringing back a lot of memories. Some of the cats playing on it: Lee, Luke, Steve Porcaro, Jeff... Sounds familiar? :O) This album is a masterpiece. Cheers, leo

The people at Raven records (Australia) reissued this beautiful Helen Reddy album on CD, as a double-packaging along with Reddy's first Capitol album "I Don't Know How To Love Him", but forgot to include the track credits. Sklar plays bass on a couple of numbers here. Of the first four Reddy US albums this is the only one, to my knowledge, that bears a track-by-track credit listing. Sometimes it's a question of original packaging as opposed to reprints. Anyhow, the search goes on...

Some pics from Årdalstangen Pic 1 : My guitarpal Tom and Lee. Luke gave Tom the most fitting nickname during the aftershow party. Say hello to Mr. Nimblefingers!! Pic 2 : Shred is not dead! Luke gets better each time I see him. Pic 3 : Hmmm. Say, Tony looks awfully pale over there! Will he throw up? Pic 4 : Luke in the Zone. Just magnificent, tasteful playing!

Mr. Lee, Thank you so much for all of the great MashCast content you bring to the Network. If it wasn't for you, we wouldn't have all of this wonderful multimedia content as you guys travel around the world on tour. You've truly embraced NewMBC's technology and have put it to great use. Keep on truckin'! Rick Such

Thank God for the captions... Isn't this a wonderful image? It gives you an idea of a community of musicians and friends. Picture is by Norman Seeff. The European CD edition of this 1976 James Taylor album has a very small reproduction of this picture. This file is from the original LP.

Dear Lee, I was watching tv and just learned that Vasco Rossi's "La Compagnia" is number one here in Italy. It's a great cover, Vasco is in top form and your bass is bitchen! This is one of the great classics of Italian pop music, and it's all over the place! I'm so happy you're part of it. You rock man!!! PS: I found a video of this song from an Italian tv special. The guy who put it on YouTube edited out a bit of interview so there is a break in the middle. Also, this is a playback version, with just Vasco: the audio is from the original EP cd "Vasco Extended Play". Drums: Vinnie Colaiuta - Bass: Lee Sklar - Guitars: Mike Landau, Stef Burns and Guido Elmi - Keyboards: Frank Nemola. Recorded at Open Digital Studio, Bologna (Italy) and Henson Studios, Los Angeles. Recording engineer: Nicola Venieri. Recording assistants: Enrico "Flint" Mambella and Kevin Mills.

We want the old, big record sleeves back, aha! This is even bigger than the original. I assembled four 500dpi scans of the picture composite on the inner gatefold of the 1979 JT album, "Flag", through Photomerge. "Flag" is great. Top, L/R: Danny Kortchmar, Don Grolnick. Centre: Peter Asher. Bottom, L/R: Russ Kunkel, Leland Sklar.
