Here are a few pictures I took on my recent US trip that i thought i would share. The first is of Tanya showing me the Capitol Building at Hollywood and Vine, in L.A. Tanya took me around to see the sights of the important landmarks connected to the history of popular music, and Capitol Records is one of those. Some of you will remember an old video clip of Ringo Starr and Harry Nilsson performing "Only You" on its rooftop..
I didn't realize there existed a guitar shop where you could have access to so many vintage instruments all in one go. Such a place is The Guitar Center on Sunset. On its front you can find the famous Rock Walk (next chapter...). On the inside, in the vintage room, you are confronted by a wall of guitars dating back to.. never mind. The price tags are very steep but i'm sure negotiation is commonplace. Even so.. (give the file a little time to load as it's a large one).
The sign is hard to see, but reads Don't Speed Save lives save fuel :)~
Driving into downtown L.A. the buildings looked really cool in the fog.
Just a little closer...
