The Luke gig was great! (Of course it was) However, what really pisses me off, is people who just can't SHUT UP!!! Especially during the lower segments, i.e. Song for Jeff. Song for Jeff is a song that can water my eyes any day, and I guess it's an emotional moment for Luke as well. At these moments, people were talking. And they were talking loudly! I shouted shut up a couple of times, 'cause it ruins a show I payed to see. (Did they pay to chit-chat?) Do any of you guys experience this at gigs? Jan

Needless to say, I had a great time at the concert june 26th. The band was on fire, and I found myself a new fave drummer in Eric Valentine. The man is a set of fireworks, and a smashing good chap as well. Hat's off to Luke and the band for a great show! A hug and hello from Luke was well appreciated too. Jan

I went to a TV- show recording last night, to see a friend perform in a lyric competition. One of the contestants chose Africa for his 80's song. The trick is to remember the lyrics that are taken out of a karaoke text. With a live band. He remembered the lyrics correctly,thankfully... Funny thing was, the drummer did a Jeff signature fill going into the chorus. That was so cool! I love doing those fills myself, but it's fun to hear other drummers that know what Jeff was all about. Just wanted to share the fun, haha. Peace out! Jan

I was walking to work today, and I starrted thinking about when Toto will release a new album. I suppose it'll take awhile, cause the guys are so busy doing solo albums and so on. I mean, they are all session musicians, Luke is about to go on tour with his solo album, and both Si and Luke have small children at home, and need to stay home once in a while too. And not to forget Mikey, who's obviously struggling with his hands. Not that Lee wouldn't nail it...

This is a fantastic pop album. And our beloved Luke is a part of it too. Along with names such as Richard Marx. Especially, I enjoy the opening track, I Know You(co- written by Luke), Surprise Yourself(also with Luke), Fools Cry, Tall Dark and Harmless, Dying of Delight... The album is plain cool. Lots of accoustic guitars, and of course, great instrumentalists. Check it out. Jan

There's a video clip on toto99 now, with Mike giving a few comments on Jeffrey. Really cool clip, and heart breaking too. When i think about how much we all miss Jeff, what's it like for his brother? Good seeing a clip with Mikey too, hope you're recovering good, Mikey, we miss you! There's a clip with Jeff doing a fast Mushanga- groove in there. Really cool stuff indeed. Check the clip here: http://toto99.com/jeff/tribute.shtml Jan

Just heard a version of Staying Alive with Ozzy and a guitar extravaganza from Luke, Zakk Wylde and Dweezil Zappa among others. Fantastic fun. Anyone know the story behind this? Jan

Mark Wilkinson, british air brush artist, made this logo for my Marillion tribute Misplaced Neighbourhood. It's made from Marillion's logo for their first albums, while Fish was the singer. I'm proud to have an original logo from such a great artist like Mark.

This is my band Voodoo Kiss in 1991. We played funky rock, and did pretty well. Allthough our outfits don't look that good in my opinion. But hey, this is what norwegian rock musicians looked like in '91, HAHA. I'm on the left, btw. Jan

A few of you have put out pic's of your instruments. Lovely. Instruments are beautiful. So are mine, I think. My Starclassics and Zildjians never let me down. This pic is from my big band's release party. It's all there, except the Octobans and the 22" Oriental china. What a lovely place to work. Some info on what's there: A Starclassic Maple kit in Brown Fade finish. 22" Kick 6,5" snare and a piccolo to my left 10, 12, 13, 14 and 16" suspended toms 20" Gong drum

Another clip from our release party. We filmed with two cameras, but still haven't mixed the two together. The sound is ok, although it's done with an ambience mic. Jan

I don't remember if this was the right way to embed a link from YouTube, but I'll give it a try. This is "It's Raining Men" from our release part for our album "Live '07" at Blæst in Trondheim. Jan

Africa was the last song in Trondheim, and during that, the rain came pouring down. Ole Jørgen(left) and I was soaked! So was all 6500 people, of course. But we got to dry up backstage. You can see by our grins that our day with Toto made our day.

After having tried his kit, obviously a few questions popped up. I suppose Simon gets tired of talking drums every night, but we had a good talk. he's truly a british gentleman. And he's fucking brilliant. I wonder if there's something that bloke don't know about drums...

After the show, meeting the band. I had a quick talk with Greg. Funny guy. I think he made me crack up in laughter after about three seconds.
