You can connect directly to the venue to purchase tickets by clicking on it (the venue website opens up in a popup window). Very hip! Also Steve has a new MySpace page http://myspace.com/stevelukatheronline, so stop by and add him to your friends... Steve and his band kicked off the "No Jazz Tour" on June 20 in Soendborgh,Denmark and are tearing up audiences wherever they go. If there's a venue near you, cop some tix and come on out, show the brother some love, you know the gigs are gonna rock..

Was hoping he'd make it down to Nashville at some point, but I guess not. :( Granted, I wouldn't go farther south than Indiana either, but I would think he'd do reasonably well here given how many musicians live here (and the fact that he probably is friends with a lot of them)

The south is kind of a wasteland for music unless it's country? Or unless you're so famous like the Stones or U2 where you can draw good crowds regardless of where you play.

Let's consider Luke a European artist for now, since that's where he and Toto have focused most of their energy for the past...25 years. European bands with a decent following can do some east coast dates: New York, DC, Boston, etc...maybe Chicago and one or two other random midwest cities, and then head out west. Almost all of my favorite artists are based in Europe, and I see this happen almost every time anyone tours here. It's just not plausible to go any farther south than Indiana for most bands.

as far as music unless its country? Maybe so for the BIG stadium type tours and as you said the likes of The Stones, but Luke is hitting small venues. Not to mention the fact that there are SO MANY people in the south who dont really dig country music at all, especially in the bigger cities. Places like Atlanta, Birmingham, Memphis and especially Nashville would welcome Luke and provide great small venues.

Perfect example, I saw Wilco in Huntsville, Alabama. Sold out show for about 2500. Huntsville is a great deal smaller than the afore-mentioned cities.

Luke would do very well in the bigger cities in the south!

One question. How does South Dakota offer more of a market for Luke than Atlanta, Nashville any other metropolitan city in the south?

looks like I will have to make the trek up to Indy if I want to see Luke on tour....

What a shame. So many cool small venues here in the south. Between Nahville, Atlanta, Memphis and even Birmingham. Check out Work Play in Birmingham. I believe Alan Hunter (M-TV original VJ) is part owner.

I'm not sure and correct me if i'm wrong, but Does Carlitos father (Carlos del Puerto) lives in Turku,it is in Finland? I've seen him (Carlos) couple of times playing bass in some jazz bands. Great player. :)

Hello Luke! thanks for the updates!

I have a little problem, I am only 17 years old, and on Rockefeller in Oslo you have to be 18 years old to come inn, so I can't see you there. I don't know what to do, it was the only thing I wanted to this year, to see one of your shows....

I will try to travell to an other contry, but I don't know if I can :(:(

But I hope to see you this year Luke:), I will do anything I can.
